According to French media, two young men aged 15 and 16 fired an air rifle at a synagogue in Paris on Friday night. One Jewish man was slightly injured in the leg.
The attack occurred in the Sarcelles commune in Paris from the balcony of the apartment opposite the synagogue. The police searched the apartment and found a 4.5mm calibre rifle. Two teenagers were arrested on Saturday as suspects on the antisemitic hate crime.
Moïse Kahloun, the president of the Jewish community of Sarcelles commented on the situation saying the attack was not antisemitic, “just kids who shot at random”.
