Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder was stabbed to death in south-west London.

The men, aged 19 and 27, were arrested after presenting themselves at a central London hospital. Both men were taken to separate central London police stations for questioning.

Despite the efforts of paramedics from the London ambulance service a 19-year-old man with stab wounds died about half an hour after he was delivered to the hospital.

Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, police had issued an appeal for information about knife attacks on two more teenagers. They were wounded in the Feltham area of south-west London on Sunday.

It is believed that those attacks were linked, said officers. Though no link to the Battersea incident has been suggested.

Paramedics had found the first victim who was taken to a south London hospital. Second victim was taken to hospital later. Neither of them are believed to be life-threatening.

The investigation is still in its early stages and there were not any arrests for these attacks.

There were 135 people murdered or unlawfully killed in London last year. This is the largest number for the past decade.
