In the Austrian city of Braunau am Inn the government nationalized the building where Adolf Hitler grew up for three years. It happened back in 2016. The landlady was paid 310 thousand euro. However, the notaries calculated that she was significantly underpaid. Now the state owes her 1.5 million euro. The owner filed a lawsuit demanding to pay her the cost of the house, which was established by experts in the new calculation.
The property is a three-story building with a garage and parking. The building became the property of the woman’s family back in 1952. During World War II there was a cultural center here, then a library and a school. Since 1993, the building is considered a monument of architecture.
