Denmark authorities have expelled two Huawei staff after inspecting permits.
Police reported that illegal workers have been detected during regular check on companies with large numbers of foreign employees.
The inspection had nothing to do with the recent controversy about the Chinese telecom company, police said.
Chinese telecom giant has been at the center of controversy recently. That was due to its growing ties with the Chinese government.
Huawei is one of the world’s biggest producers of telecoms equipment. It has faced resistance from foreign governments, mostly the US government, over the risk that its technology could be used for espionage.
But Huawei has denied such claims.
Norway’s intelligence service PST has issued a warning about the company.
“One has to be attentive about Huawei as an actor and about the close connections between a commercial actor like Huawei and the Chinese regime,” the PST’s head, Benedicte Bjornland, said.
Several countries, including the US, have banned Huawei 5G telecoms equipment citing security reasons.
