Agents shot to death a suspect who is believed to be Greg Alyn Carlson, 47, one of the most wanted fugitives who was charged with multiple sexual assaults with a deadly weapon including burglary and sexual assault in Los Angeles last fall but fled after being released on bond.

Medical examiners must confirm the suspect’s identity.

The suspect was tracked to a motel in North Carolina by agents, where they shot and killed him yesterday, on February, 13. The details of the shooting were not disclosed.

According to FBI, Carlson was spotted in Hoover, Alabama, on November, 22, when he led the police on a car chase, which was called off because of the danger to the public.

Later the suspect was spotted in Florida, first in Jacksonville on November, 28 and in Daytona Beach on November, 30.
