On January, 18 Netflix dropped a new documentary FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened about the failed Fyre Festival on the Bahamas.

The documentary told the story of Maryann Rolle, the owner of the Exuma Point Bar & Grill, who was never paid for catering the festival. She had to pay $50,000 of her personal savings to the staff members who helped at the festival.

On January 14, a GoFundMe page was set up to raise money for Rolle who lost all her savings. People all over the world raised over $200,000.

According to the documentary, a group of locals who helped build the
festival site was also left unpaid. Another GoFundMe campaign was started to raise money to pay all the laborers and others who were involved with the Fyle Festival.
