More than 2.2 million people have been infected with the flu in Japan according to the latest reports
The average number of flu patients at some 5,000 medical institutions across the country that are regularly monitored grew by 15.37 from the previous week to 53.91, following the record high of 54.33, marked in the previous year, the ministry announced on Friday.
Between 21 and 27 January hospitals in Japan accepted more than 57 patients with the flu symptoms. It is advised that this indicator is a record since 1999.
With the prevention aim Japanese physicians recommend people to wash their hands more often, rinse their mouths and ask for medical advice if symptoms appear.
