Sevilla boss Pablo Machin advised that his team should not sell short their Europa League opponents Lazio.

Sevilla take a 1-0 lead and an away goal into the second leg of their last-32 tie.

Machin said that his team experienced worse times. “They’re part of football, especially when you’re a team like us with big objectives”, he said.

He added that the results of the upcoming match are in the team’s hands. If Sevilla overturns the situation and tomorrow, they will be the first team into the UEFA Europa League round of 16.

Machin highlighted the importance of the upcoming match and encouraged his team to win. He said they are going to plan the match from the first minute.

“We’ve had chances, but what’s missing is consistency. We have to do a bit more than we did before to turn them into goals,” he continued. “The team are talented, the players have always shown it, so we must keep doing what we’re doing.”

Sevilla boss also said that Luis Alberto is an important player for their opponent Lazio, but he is more worried about his team’s success.

“(Ciro) Immobile’s a player who knows this stadium. We’ll keep an eye on him, even if I don’t really know his physical level. I hope he doesn’t celebrate his birthday against us,” he concluded.
