A series of shootings that occurred in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Two people were reported dead, the other two wounded.

On Thursday, around 11:30 p.m. Elizabethtown police received several calls concerning shootings in the 200 block of Warfield Street.

Just after police arrived on scene, there were more 911 calls about shots fired at the T-Mart Convenience Store in the 600 block of North Miles Street. Police officers found two male victims inside the gas station. One was dead and the other was in critical condition.

Another shooting victim called 911 from American Legion Park. The woman received a shot in the leg outside the gas station and drove to the park to get away. Her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

John Thomas, the Elizabethtown police spokesman said police officers found the armed male suspect when he came back to the 200 block of Warfield Street. He was ordered to drop his handgun but he fought and resisted arrest. Police took him into custody.

The body of a fourth victim was found between two buildings in the 200 block of Warfield Street. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not disclosed the names of the victims or suspect, or information about the shootings.
