An unknown man threw a grenade into the mosque in the city of Zamboanga, the Phillippines. At least two people were killed in the explosion and four others were wounded.

The  grenade burst when religious leaders of Muslims were having a meeting in the mosque.

The explosion broke around at 00:20 on Wednesday, January 30, the victims were taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

According to a previous police report, an unknown originally turned off a street lamp and then threw a grenade into a mosque. The police has already identified the victims of the explosion  – two men,  46 and 47 years old.  The detailed examination of the scene of the incident revealed a safety lever and a possible part of the Belgian grenade PRB 423.
